The Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of Vassar's equal opportunity and affirmative action policies and programs. The EOAA office offers educational programs and workshops on equal employment opportunity and affirmative action, monitors college policies and procedures for compliance with state and federal equal opportunity laws, and administers informal and formal grievance procedures with respect to the college's nondiscrimination and nonharassment policy.The office also sponsors programs designed to ensure a working, learning, and residential environment free from discrimination and harassment, including sexual harassment. Students, faculty, administrators, and staff may contact the office to request guidance on Vassar's grievance procedures for alleged discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment on the basis of race, color, religious belief, sex, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national or ethnic origin, veteran status or age.

Appointments with the Director of Equal Opportunity or the Faculty Director of Affirmative Action can be made by contacting the main office. The EOAA office is located in Metcalf House on the first floor, and is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. during the academic year and by appointment during the summer.
